Formed in 2017 and based in Houston, Texas Sports Group specializes in the marketing and management of sports events, including events for the benefit of clubs and other youth athletic organizations.


We provide services that range from strategic event marketing all the way to “turn-key” event production in which the client can simply enjoy the experience of their event while we take care of all of the work.


Our unique approach to sports events combines exceptional planning and careful execution, helping our clients to build brands with positive event experiences.

Our directors have been managing sports events since 2007 and have a collective 60 years of experience.


Mike Harwell

Events Director

Mike has served on leadership boards in youth sports since 2011 and managed events spanning two decades.  With his creative vision, Mike has elevated the customer experience by delivering unique and one of a kind elements to all Texas Sports Group events.


Augi Colchado

Operations Director

With a successful coaching career, and extensive service at the highest level of club management, Augi has the experience to manage all aspects of field operations for large events.  


Maria Pham

Customer Service Director

With years of tournament management experience, Maria provides coaches with all of the support they need, before and during events, with bilingual help and her exceptional customer service skills. 


Shane Hendricks

Communications Director

Shane has served as a youth soccer club board member and has worked for various youth sports events since 2008. He specializes in the 'back office' event operations, accounting and technology support.


Phil Smith

Technical Director

With extensive corporate management experience, Phil provides analytical and planning skills for events, and has more than 12 years of youth soccer experience, including coaching, club and event management.
